Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost to become
a new member of Forest Ridge Community Club?
Application for a family membership requires a non-refundable
initiation fee of $125, a one time bond payment in the amount of
$375 and an annual dues payment of $410 (all amounts are as of
2008). The bond is refundable only if the member is a
member in good standing (with an account balance paid in full)
and moves their residence outside of the 5-mile radius of the
Forest Ridge Community Club.
What happens if I join Forest Ridge Community Club
during the middle of the season?
If you join
Forest Ridge Community Club while the season is in progress,
your current year dues would be pro-rated which means that you
would pay current year dues only for the remaining part of
the season. The full bond payment and full initiation fee
would still be required.
Is there any kind of
inducement to referring a new member to Forest Ridge Community Club?
If you refer a
new member to Forest Ridge Community Club and that member joins
the club, you will receive a $25 bonus for each referral.
The bonus will be deducted from the next year's annual dues.
Can my babysitter bring my kids?
Members
can purchase a pass for $10 that allows an adult non-member babysitter
to take their children to the pool on their behalf. The rules state
that a babysitter is to be at least 15 years of age to be able to take
children on behalf of a member parent. The non-member babysitter simply
signs in with the lifeguard telling him/her that she is here with the
"family name" children - the lifeguard checks to confirm that the family
has a babysitter pass on their member card.
Can my kids bring guests?
The rules state that
children 12 years old or having completed the 6th grade are able to
bring guests of the same age without parental supervision with a time
limit of 2 hours. Children under 12 years of age are not able to
bring guests to the pool without supervision.
