Forest Ridge Community Club
Adopt-a-Highway Pickup Day: May 10, 2008 at 8:15 am

Why did we “Adopt a Highway” at Route 250 from Route 96 to Route
31, a 2.4 mile stretch of highway?
Forest
Ridge Community Club needs new members for a healthy club and to keep costs
stable. Many prospective members don’t
know we exist; Adopt-A-Highway signage helps “get the word out” (for no
out-of-pocket cost) and drive traffic to our website: www.ForestRidgeCC.org. In addition, the entire stretch of road is
within the club’s 5 mile membership radius.
What are we required to do?
To
keep the two signs on Route 250, we need to pick up trash along the 2.4 mile
stretch of Route 250 twice a year: once in the fall, once in the spring.
What is involved?
Club volunteers 18 years of age and older will gather at the Pool Club Gazebo at
8:15 am on May 10th. We will have
a short briefing and pass out hardhats, reflective vests and garbage bags and
proceed to Route 250 to pick up trash.
It shouldn’t take more than an hour or two if we get at least 5-6
volunteers.
How can I help on May 10th?
